Symphony 101 - Session 1a

Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes of a production at the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra? Symphony 101 can take you there. This entertaining and instructive program spans 2 evenings.

The first evening includes a discussion with Music Director Timothy Muffitt & Executive Director Shirley Sands where you’ll learn how the BRSO runs and how the repertoire is chosen. This is followed by a rehearsal that gives new meaning to the concept of VIP seating as you take your place right on stage with the musicians of the orchestra during a Masterworks rehearsal.

The second evening consists of the actual Masterworks concert at the River Center Theater. Enrollment is limited to 20 people per session.
